PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a carriage in which parallelism can be adjusted between the dot forming element array of a recording head and the carrying direction and the position of the recording head can be adjusted in the carrying direction. SOLUTION: Rotary members 14L and 14R constituting a bearing member for adjustingαangle are fixed to the left and right side walls 2c and 2d of a recording head 2. When these rotary members 14L and 14R are turned, the position where a supporting shaft 10 supports the recording head 2 is displaced to the upstream or downstream side in the carrying direction. Consequently, the recording head 2 turns in the direction of angle (αangle) between the dot forming element array and the carrying direction with respect to the carriage 1 and theαangle is adjusted. When the rotary members 14L and 14R are turned by the same amount, the recording head 2 is displaced to the upstream or downstream side in the carrying direction with respect to the carriage 1 and the position of the recording head is adjusted in the carrying direction.
