PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid soap having good solubility, excellent in fast foaming properties and foaming properties, realizing a creamy foam quality, giving a good feeling after cleaning, hardly causing dissolution disintegration or cracking and excellent in storage stability. SOLUTION: The solid soap comprises (a) 0.001-10 wt.% of a polymer comprising 60-100 wt.% of a compound represented by formula (I) and an alkyl (meth) acrylate in a constitutional ratio of 100/0 to 10/90, (b) 30-90 wt.% of a fatty acid salt and (c) 0.1-10 wt.% of a specific aminoethyl sulfonic acid or a salt thereof. In the formula, R1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R2, R3 and R4 are each a 1-8C alkyl group; and n is an integer of 2-4).
