POLYCAPRAMIDE AND FIBER THEREFROM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polycapramide that can realize high-speed spinning and consistent spinning performance by restricting the generation of low-moleclar- weight materials during melt spinning, and to produce a fiber therefrom. SOLUTION: This polycapramide has a part of its terminal carboxyl group capped with a diamine having a primary amino group and a tertiary amino group, wherein the amount (a) (meq/kg) of the primary amino group and the amount (b) (meq/kg) of the tertiary amino group satisfy equations (1) 40<=a+b and (2) a<=35.
