PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wood fence-like material, which can be manufactured at a low cost and easily by using wood to be disposed as a raw material, and a method for manufacturing. SOLUTION: A suitable amount of a coagulant is mixed in wood chips obtained by crushing wood waste such as timber from thining, a pruned wood piece of a tree, or waste wood used for a building and the like to a suitable size, and stirred. The wood chip material wherein the coagulant is stuck to the surface by being stirred is filled in a mold 1, a pressing plate 4 is pushed into mold 1 by a compression mechanism, and the material is compressed. Then, a closing cover 7 at an end of the mold is opened, the pressing plate 4 is pushed into the mold 1 in this state, and a molded product is taken out from the mold. A wood fence-like material comprising the molded product is safe and has warmness for man, and is little in cracking owing to dryness and corrosion owing to moisture absorption.
