PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose ester film which is improved in terms of trouble caused by foreign matter of cellulose or a kind of cellulose ester of a low degree of acetylation and improved in transparency and tear strength and a method for producing the film. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the cellulose ester film by casting a solution in which a kind of cellulose ester is dissolved in a mixed solvent, the cellulose ester is dissolved in the mixed solvent at a temperature of the boiling point or above of a main solvent.
