PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bucket elevator for conveying powder preventing dust in a casing from blowing out from a clearance in a shaft seal part and decreasing infiltration of the dust into a bearing to be made capable of avoiding as much as possible its damage. SOLUTION: An air bleeder hole 9 is drilled near a top part of a casing 2 of a bucket elevator 1, a filter cloth frame 10 is arranged in this air bleeder hole 9, also a filter cloth 11 is mounted in this filter cloth frame 10. Even when a plus pressure is generated in the casing 2 by an impact when powder in a bucket 8 is discharged, the pressure is relieved by extracting air from the air bleeder hole 9 of the casing 2, so as to prevent blowing of the powder from a shaft seal part of a chain wheel 5 also so as to reduce damage of a bearing.
