PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous lens sticking in firmly sticking a lens onto a detachable plate and improve the middle build part of the lens. SOLUTION: In a method for sticking a lens 7 on a detachable plate 8 through thermoplastic adhesive agent, the detachable plate 8 is conveyed to a detachable unit 4 from a detachable plate supply unit 6 and heated by a heating means 22. Thermoplastic adhesive agent is applied to the detachable plate 8 by the dispenser 24 of an adhesive agent apply unit 5. The lens 7 is conveyed by a lens supply unit 2, and the position of the face top of the detachable face 7a of the lens 7 or a ring belt near the outer periphery of the lens is measured by a measuring unit 3 to determine the specified position 27 where the distance between the datum face 8c of the detachable plate 8 and the face top of the detachable face 7a of the lens 7 or a ring belt near the outer periphery of the lens becomes constant. With the lens 7 fixed to the specified position 27, the thermoplastic adhesive agent intervening between the lens 7 and the detachable plate 8 is cooled for adhesion.
