PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an extruded item showing an excellent function and a beautiful pattern as seen in using a vinyl chloride resin even when a synthetic resin harmless to an environment is employed. SOLUTION: A method for forming a pattern on an extruded item 1 comprises a core material forming process of forming a core material 3 having an approximately same shape as that of a formed item and a pattern layer forming process, following the core material forming process, of covering a pattern forming surface 3a for a pattern 2 to be formed thereon of the surfaces of the core material 3 with a pattern forming layer 4, wherein in the pattern layer forming process a plurality of resins 4a and 4b are each extruded with a time lag so that they are overlapped each other.
