PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to count always correctly the number of the carried balls including pachinko game balls. SOLUTION: A sprocket wheel 1 is installed on a carrier pipe 3 for pachinko game balls 2 in such way it rotates biting one pachinko ball 2 at a time. A circular light shielding plate 5 interlocking with the sprocket wheel is provided and two optical censors 7A, 7B detect the light shielding section 6 of the light shielding plate 5 at different places, while two stoppers 8A, 8B can stop the rotation of the light shielding plate 5 independently. Then by locking and unlocking of the light shielding plate 5 by the two stoppers 8A, 8B, the sprocket wheel 1 and the light shielding plate 5 rotate by half a pachinko ball for a pachinko ball 2 to be carried and the pachinko balls are counted by the pulse detected by the two censors 7A, 7B at that moment.
