SOLUTION: The necessity of the rescue is confirmed on the basis of the conversation of a passenger in the car 2 with a monitor center through speaking means 7, 21, when a safety device 3 outputs an operation signal to disable the operation of the elevator, and the passenger is shut up in the car, and the detection of the operation signal is temporarily canceled to execute the rescue operation on the basis of a command from the monitor center when it misjudged that the detection of the operation signal can be canceled without problems as a result of the analysis of an operating state of the elevator. Whereby the passenger in the car 2 can be quickly saved while sufficiently considering the safety.
