PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guidewire for a catheter excellent in bent recovering property and torque transmitting property in a living body blood vessel. SOLUTION: An alloy of Ti-Mo-Zr-Al having a high rigidity modulus is subjected to a cold wire drawing process and a mechanically straightening process to make a wire material. Then, the distal end of the material is tapered and bent.
