PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing by roll milling a sheet-like laundry item comprising a dough-like laundry item composition having uniformity in thickness and width while maintaining excellent solubility when used. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a sheet-like laundry item 15 comprises roll milling under a shear rate condition of 400-300,000 s-1 a dough- like laundry item composition 14, which is prepared so that it has a viscosity of 700-10,000 mPa.s at a shear rate of 100-1,000 s-1, thereby to form the dough- like laundry item composition 14 into a sheet-like form.
