PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, when the thickness or width of a foamed molded object is altered in an apparatus for manufacturing a long foamed molded object by heating foamed particles while continuously moving them through a heating region, complicated work for replacing a belt or structural material with one different in width is required and equipment cost for preparing a plurality of belts or structural materials is required. SOLUTION: In an apparatus for continuously manufacturing a foamed molded object by supplying foamed particles to the gap between the belts continuously moving along the upper and lower surfaces of a passage surrounded by structural materials to be formed and having an almost rectangular cross section and holding the particles between the belts to successively pass them through a heating region and a cooling region, at least one of the upper and lower structural materials forming the passage is constituted so as to be movable in an up and down direction while held between structural materials on the side surface sides of the passage and a means for moving the movably constituted structural material up and down to regulate the thickness of the foamed molded object is provided.
