PURPOSE: A steam discharging device of an electric kettle is provided to ensure the safety of the electric kettle by discharging steam in a pressure vessel through a safety valve when the steam in the pressure vessel is not discharged. CONSTITUTION: A steam discharging device comprises a body provided with two valve coupling parts(13-1,13-2) which are symmetrically positioned. A normal opening type solenoid valve(20) and a normal closing type safety valve(30) are fixedly installed on the valve coupling parts(13-1,13-2). A steam discharging passage(10-1) is formed along an axis direction of the body. Valve seats(11-1, 11-2) are formed at a middle portion of the steam discharging passage(10-1) for discharging steam from an outer tub lid(2) to an exterior of a kettle lid(1). The normal closing type safety valve(30) installed on the valve coupling part(13-2) includes a compression spring(27) supported by a valve housing(26). The spring(27) moves a guide(28) and a poppet(25) coupled to the guide(28) opens and closes the valve seat(11-2).
