<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a pulse rate synchronized with a heart rate not only at the time of resting but also in daily life and at the time of exercise. SOLUTION: A data processing circuit reads pulse wave data digitally converted in an A/D converter, measures the pulse wave data for an optional number, gathers them into one block, calculates average values for the respective blocks and reconstitutes pulse waves by using the average values for the respective blocks. After the peak of the amplitude of the reconstituted pulse waves is detected, the peak interval time of the reconstituted pulse waves is calculated. In the case that a difference between the average value of the optional number of the peak interval times in the past and the peak interval time of this time is a fixed value or more, the peak interval of this time is replaced with the average value of the optional number of the peak interval times in the past, a movement averaging processing is performed by using the optional number of the peak interval times in the past and the one of this time and the pulse rate is calculated by using the averaging-processed peak interval time.</p> |
