PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrothermal reactor, capable of discharging salts from a reaction vessel without stopping the reaction while suppressing the corrosion of the reaction vessel. SOLUTION: In this hydrothermal reactor where a material to be reacted, which is supplied to the inside of the reaction vessel 1 through a feed pipe 21 attached to the upper lid 14 of the vessel, is subjected to a hydrothermal reaction in a critical or subcritical state, and salts deposited on and stuck to the inside of the reaction vessel 1 are removed by a scraper 38, a storage part 1A storing solid containing the salts is installed at the lower part of the inside of the reaction vessel 1, a first outlet 2A discharging hightemperature and high-pressure fluid is installed at the upper part of the storage part 1A, and a second outlet 9 communicating with the storage part 1A and discharging the solid is installed.
