The invention relates to a manual gearbox (1), for a passenger motor vehicle, which comprises two modules (30, 56), whereby the one module (30) comprises a drive, a selector shaft module (34) and a selector fork module (32) and the second module (56) comprises a mechanical drive section with shafts (4, 52), toothed gearwheels (6, 54) and synchroniser rings (7, 53), arranged in a bell-housing (2, 51). A manual gearbox with a functionally improved construction which permits an easier and more rapid assembly is achieved, whereby, in the assembled gearbox (1), all drive elements are concentrated in the first module (30) and arranged on an outer surface of the manual gearbox (1). |
