PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new fermentative method for producing an amino acid, particularly L-lysine, by the use of a nucleotide sequence encoding gpm gene and a corynebacterium having amplified gpm gene. SOLUTION: This fermentative method is carried out by using a polynucleotide isolated from a corynebacterium containing a polynucleotide sequence selected from the following groups: a) a polynucleotide showing at least 70% of homogeneity to a polynucleotide which codes for a polypeptide containing a specific amino acid sequence derived from Corynebacterium glutamicum, b) a polynucleotide encoding a polypeptide containing an amino acid sequence which shows at least 70% of homogeneity to the amino acid sequence, c) a polynucleotide complementary to the polynucleotide a) or b) and d) a polynucleotide containing at least 15 of successive bases in the polynucleotide sequence a), b) or c). |
