<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wood club head wherein the head is prevented from being turned when an offset collision occurs in the case of an impact to improve direction, thereby increasing the distance of a ball, by a method wherein a planar ellipse formed when an inertia ellipsoid about the center of gravity of the wood club head is cut imaginarily by a plane, which passes through the center of gravity of the wood club head and is parallel to a loft angle, is made so as to correspond to the distribution of variations in the score of an ordinary player. SOLUTION: In the wood club head 1 having a hollow outer metal shell structure, components 12, 13 each having a specific gravity larger than that of a head body 2 are provided on the upper part 5A of a toe and a pack part 4A at the center of a sole 4, respectively, so that the weight distribution becomes toe-and-low-back weight.</p> |
