PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toss machine wherein in hitting a baseball and softball, balls received in a hopper can be pitched at thirty to one second intervals, and the movement of a ball to be thrown can be checked by a batter with his/her eyes, and hence the timing of pitching can be easily adjusted. SOLUTION: In a hopper wherein a downwardly inclined bottom part and side walls, which are inwardly inclined toward an outlet so that the interval between the walls decreases to an interval nearly equal to the diameter of a ball at the outlet, are provided, and a ball feed plate is provided on the bottom part. The feed plate can be moved upward and downward. A chute is mounted to the hopper to arrange balls into a row, and a ball delivery part having a rotation axis provided with a hook to deliver the balls one by one is connected to the chute. A pitching part, which rotates a rotary drum mounted to an adjustable support in a pitching direction 12, is connected to the delivery part.
