PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a structure and reduce a manufacturing cost by carrying out, in a switching manner, plane working and end face working with a direction switching type working head. SOLUTION: A work piece is fitted to a table 2 formed on a horizontal X-axis and Y-axis plane. Many rotary edged tools 20 and 26 are provided above and side the table 2, these work piece and rotary edged tools are moved by relatively controlling in X-axis, Y-axis and a vertical Z-axis crossing them at right angles directions, and the plane part and the side face part of the work piece are machined. Those rotary edged tools 20 and 26 are fitted to spindles 21 and 25 of a main working head 17 and a sub working head 23, directions of those working heads are changed centering a horizontal support axis 11 in the X-axis or Y-axis directions, and set in a switching manner, at horizontal and vertical two positions.
