PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand-held circular saw device with improved balance for improving easiness to handle and workability by preventing a device housing and a grip from protruding out of a range of a base plate. SOLUTION: This hand-held circular saw device is provided with a roughly rectangular base plate 2, a device housing 3 disposed on the base plate 2 containing a drive motor and a transmission device, a circular saw blade 4 connected to a drive shaft of the drive motor through a flange to be partly protruded from a slit in the base plate 2, and a grip 6 connected to the device housing 3. Vertically projected form of the device housing 3 and the grip 6 on the base plate 2 is set to be within a range of the base plate 2.
