PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a flue-gas capable of removing mercury, which is capable of efficiently operating and maintaining performance of a treat system of exhaust gas without causing an adverse effect on an equipment within the system. SOLUTION: In the treatment of mercury in an exhaust gas by conducting the reduction denitration treatment of the exhaust gas containing nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides and mercury in the presence of a solid catalyst after the addition of a chlorinating agent, and subsequently conducting the wet desulfurization with an alkali absorption liquid, the concentration of mercury in the exhaust gas after the wet desulfurization is measured, the anticipated value of the concentration of mercury at an inlet before the reduction denitration treatment is calculated in accordance with the mercury concentration and a supply amount of the chlorinating agent to be added at the preceding step of the reduction denitration treatment is adjusted from the amount of change between the anticipated value and the standard mercury concentration at the inlet. An exhaust gas treating system using the mercury treating method is disclosed. |
