PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unnecessitate the installation of article conveying device to each sub conveyor 26. SOLUTION: This article conveying device is provided with a main conveyor 2, an extendable conveyor 3 attached ahead of the main conveyor 2, an article transferring device 23 attached to the front end of the extendable conveyor 3, and at least two article delivering/receiving stations 25 provided on the side of the extendable conveyor 3. The article transferring device 23 delivers and receives articles between the extendable conveyor 3 and the article delivering/ receiving stations 25.
