PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent malodor or defective fermentation due to retention of organic waste. SOLUTION: Organic waste in the treatment vessel 4 can be agitated by allowing a traveling truck 13 to travel and concurrently rotating augers 14 and also projections 21A and 21B projecting from sidewalls 3E-3H are provided so as to fill the space formed between the corresponding one of the sidewalls 3E-3H and the augers 14 when traveling track 13 reaches one of the travel terminals, with the projections 21A and 21B. Consequently, since the space between the corresponding one of the sidewalls 3E-3H and the augers 14 is filled with the projections 21A and 21B, the organic waste is prevented from being retained in this space thereby attaining the above purpose.
