PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the possibility of a failure and a cost and to lower the accuracy in assembly work. SOLUTION: This opening/closing mechanism 25 consists of a valve element 26 for closing or opening a fluid passage 17, a solenoid 33 which is disposed advanceably and retreatably with a plunger 34 provided with an annular member (an E type retaining ring 36) and a resin slide member 37 which consists of a frame body internally housing the solenoid 33, is provided with a detaining part 39 to be detained with at least one surface of the annular member on its inner flank and is mounted movably around the plunger. The opening/closing mechanism described above is used for the pressure cooking utensil (a rice cooker 1) having a cooking pan (an inner pan 2), a main body 3 housing this cooking pan, a heating means (an induction heating coil 6) for heating the cooking pan and a lid body 8 openably and closably mounted at the main body to close the aperture of the cooking pan and the opening/closing mechanism 25 for closing or opening the fluid passage 17 which is disposed at the lid body 8 and through which the inside and outside of the cooking pan communicate.
