PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding cassette capable of preventing the bending of paper. SOLUTION: The paper feeding cassette 19 which has front and rear cassette portions 55, 53 separated from each other in the direction of insertion into a printer body 3 and connected to each other in a rotationally movable manner is mounted on the printer body 3 with the front cassette portion 55 in the direction of insertion being rotationally moved upward. The front cassette portion 55 has a paper restricting member 77 for restricting the end of paper 13 in the direction of insertion. The paper restricting member 77, rotationally movable, is located at an initial position for restricting the end of the paper 13 perpendicularly to the bottom face of the front cassette portion 55 when the feeding cassette 19 is in a horizontal condition. The paper restricting member 77 is rotationally moved along the direction of shift of the end of the paper from the initial position in response to the shift of the end of the paper, caused by the rotational movement of the front cassette portion 55, when the feeding cassette 19 in the horizontal condition is inserted into the printer body 3.
