PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support for a microorganism that has a high microorganism-supporting ability, is light, and has an excellent durability. SOLUTION: This support is a molded form 10 that is made of thermoplastic resin 14 containing porous inorganic material 12 having an average particle size of 30-500μm at 10-75 vol.%, is a foam prepared by cooling/solidifying by extrusion molding/drawing by steam expansion molding of the thermoplastic resin 14, and has unevennesses on its outer surface. A part of the porous inorganic material 12 is exposed on the outer surface of the molded form 10 and the surface of the pores.
