PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper discharge device for preventing paper discharged to a paper discharge stacker from being pulled into an image forming device body through a clearance between a paper stopping member and a discharge roller. SOLUTION: This paper discharge device comprises a roller shaft and the discharge roller provided at a discharge opening of the image forming device body, the paper discharge stacker for receiving the paper discharged from the discharge opening, the paper stopping member provided under the discharge roller for preventing the paper received by the stacker provided under the discharge roller from moving to the upstream side in the paper discharge direction, and a clearance stopper vertically crossing a clearance occurring between the discharge roller and the top of the paper stopping member to prevent the paper from passing through the clearance. The clearance stopper comprises a part rotatably engaged and supported by the roller shaft, a part vertically crossing the clearance between the discharge roller and the top of the paper stopping member, and a part abutting on the side surface on the downstream side in the paper discharge direction of the paper stopping member.
