PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature controller for an ink in an ink fountain and dampening water in a water pot of a printer capable of being easily mounted in an ink fountain and a water supply unit, individually controlling a temperature of the ink in the fountain and a temperature of the dampening water of the pot and improving printing quality. SOLUTION: The temperature controller 10 comprises a control means 14 for comparing detected temperatures of an ink temperature detecting means 11 and a dampening water temperature detecting means 12 with an optimum temperature previously set to a memory 13 to control a first thermoelectric cooling element 20 and a second thermoelectronic cooling element 40 so that the detected temperature become the same as the optimum temperature. Thus, even when an atmospheric temperature is changed or a problem in a temperature on a specific site occurs, a temperature for dealing with it can be controlled, and hence a change in a dot gain caused by the change of the temperature of the ink or the dampening water can be suppressed, and the printing quality can be improved. |
