<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical tensile force adjusting device for a seat belt capable of optionally setting pulling-out force and winding force of a seat belt. SOLUTION: Biasing force of a leaf spring 1 imparts torque in the direction for winding a seat belt to a reel 5 via a biasing force adjusting mechanism 3 and a speed reduction mechanism 4. The biasing force adjusting mechanism 3 is composed of a slip plate 11, a cam plate 13, a pin 15 and a lever 17. A spiral cam groove 13g is formed on the cam plate 13. The pin 15 slidably engages with this cam groove 13g. The pin 15 takes a radial position separate from the rotational center of the cam plate 13 according to an engaging position with the cam groove 13g. Thus, an energizing force adjusting rateδaccording to a radial position R2 of the pin 15 can be optionally set by optionally designing a shape of the cam groove 13g.</p> |
