PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game controller, the structure of which is completely different from that of a conventional controller to make it possible to develop an unprecedentedly novel game machine. SOLUTION: The game controller comprises ropes (21, 25) which are wound around pulleys (22, 23, 26) and at least part of which are exposed at the position where a player can operate and a censor (24) to detect the rotation of the pulleys. The ropes and pulleys may be replaced with chains and chainwheels respectively. Loop type of ropes are usually used, but the ropes with the both ends cut may be used according to the purpose for use. The number of the pulleys around which the ropes are wound is optional.
