PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for subjecting a stable and water-resistant emulsion explosive to efficient decomposition treatment by a simple means. SOLUTION: This method comprises the following process: an emulsion explosive is incorporated with a mixed liquid of water and an organic solvent, water and a surfactant, or water, a surfactant and an organic solvent followed by cutting or mixing the resultant mixture to effect the objective separation/ decomposition.
