PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which allows a player to enjoy a game by permitting the player to recognize surely and efficiently special game information in a special game. SOLUTION: In the game machine including a variable display means (reel 5) which variably displays various kinds of patterns necessary in a game, a start means (start switch 20) to start a variable display of the patterns, and a stop means (stop switch 21) which can be operated by a player and stops the patterns which are being variably displayed, wherein if a combination of patterns being displayed, while patterns being stopped, constitutes a special winning mode, the player is permitted to play a special game, which is advantageous for the player as compared to an ordinary game, an image display 13 is provided to display the special game information in the special game for the player.
