PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for designing a mold which can simply divide the mold into a cavity and a core when the mold is designed by making product data solid by three-dimensional CAD. SOLUTION: In the three dimensional CAD, a product solid (A) is produced, a parting block solid (B) for the part division and hole filling-up of the mold is added to the product solid, the product solid and the parting block solid are integrated, the product solid with the parting block (A0) is produced, the solid (A0) is placed in a mold block solid, the solid A0 is subtracted, and a cavity part is produced in a mold block solid (D). The mold is divided into a cavity solid and a core solid along the cavity part.
