EXPANSION JOINT OF BRIDGE AND REPAIRING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An expansion joint of a bridge and a repairing method thereof are provided to maintain the expansion joint without breaking a non-shrinkage concrete by inserting expansion rubber in contacting grooves of the expansion joint. CONSTITUTION: Foreign substances under an upper covering plate(4) are removed after removing a bolt of the upper covering plate. Foreign substances inside an expansion joint are removed after removing the existing expansion rubber between contacting grooves of the expansion joint. A caulking material is spread on a portion to be faced the contacting groove, the upper covering plate and an upper supporting steel(2). New expansion rubber(3) is installed between the contacting grooves. The upper covering plate is installed on the upper supporting steel. Then, a bolt is combined so that the repairing is finished.
