PURPOSE: An electron gun for a cathode ray tube is provided to prevent a wrong arrangement by responsibly detecting a rotation and an inclination of the electron gun when the electron gun is sealed in a neck part of the cathode ray tube. CONSTITUTION: In an electron gun(10) for a cathode ray tube, a cathode has an electron emission material. A plurality of grids(14,16,18,20) include through holes for passing the electrons emitted from the cathode respectively and are arranged to one side of the cathode sequentially. A stem(32) is connected from the inside of the tube to the outside of the tube and is included in the neck part of the cathode tube to form a vacuum. The first arrangement device(34) detects the rotation direction arrangement rates of the members. The second arrangement device(36) detects the inclination direction arrangement rates of the members.
