DEVICE FOR CLAMPING SPINDLE OF MACHINE TOOL

PURPOSE: A clamping device for a spindle of a machine tool is provided to be easily maintained in simple structure with the small number of parts. CONSTITUTION: A boring spindle(2) is axially assembled with a milling spindle(1). The milling spindle is rotatably supported inside a main shaft head(3). A guide piston(4) is supported by many springs(8) embedded into a pocket of a front flange(7). The front flange is combined with the boring spindle. A wedge type clamping sleeve(5) slit at regular intervals is combined with a locking groove(42) of the guide piston so that the boring spindle is clamped on a wedge type slope(12) by the guide piston. Herein, the wedge type slope is formed inside the milling spindle.
