PURPOSE: An apparatus for performing telephone communication between an originator and a receiver is provided to perform the telephone communication through a special exchange, without passing an existing local call network, so as to reduce telephone charges between a terminal and an extension telephone. CONSTITUTION: A call signal processor processes a call signal between a PBX(Private Branch Exchange) subscriber and an external subscriber included in a PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network)(20). A switching controller(70) builds an exchange for a wireless communication network therein, and controls a PSTN channel and a wireless channel to perform telephone communication between the PBX subscriber and the external subscriber through the exchange without passing a local call network, according to an originating phone number type. The switching controller(70) controls the PSTN channel and the wireless channel to perform the telephone communication through the exchange without passing the local call network, according to a receiving phone number type. A controller(100) controls operations of the call signal processor and the switching controller(70).
