PURPOSE: A channel information record device of digital TV and a channel connection method of the same are provided to improve a memory efficiency and supply a user with accurate information promptly by making a flexible and systematic data base out of channel information transmitted through a PSIP(Program and System Information Protocol). CONSTITUTION: A complete VCT(Virtual Channel Table) channel list(300) is endowed with a channel list ID(identification) as a unique value in forming a channel list and connects every receivable channel transmitted to a VCT by using a channel index. VCT channel lists(400,500) are endowed with a channel list ID as a unique value in forming a channel list and is connected by using the channel index every VCT. A user favorite channel list(600) is endowed with a channel list ID as a unique value in forming a channel list and connects user's favorite or seeing channels by using the channel index. A plurality of channels(1-7) are endowed each with a channel ID as a unique value in receiving, and is connected with a former channel and a latter channel by using the channel index and a channel array and is connected with the channel lists(300-600) by using a channel pointer flag.
