A switching unit (4) has a control port for reception of control signals enabling the switching unit to effect a centralized switching of antenna elements. RF feed device is connected to the central switching unit (4) so that the antenna elements are fed with RF signals through switching unit. An Independent claim is also included for method of transmitting and receiving RF waves using antenna device.
