PURPOSE: A selection method of broadcasting channel is provided to enable a user to select a wanting broadcasting easily without knowing channel number of corresponding broadcasting station by arranging broadcasting station name in character sequence and displaying broadcasting station name in ascending or descending series. CONSTITUTION: The first process inquires a whole broadcasting frequency band and detects a broadcasting station name included in each broadcasting signal. The second process records the detected broadcasting station name and the corresponding frequency as a twin. The third process displays the recorded broadcasting station name according to user's appointment. A fourth process selects the corresponding frequency of the broadcasting station name selected by the user in the displayed broadcasting station name.
