PURPOSE: A welt for shoes and a method for forming a pattern thereof are provided to reduce the time and the cost of production, to simplify the manufacturing process, and to prevent the corrosion and the decoloration of the welt. CONSTITUTION: For manufacturing the welt(70) used to couple an upper sole of shoes with a bottom sole of the shoes, a welt plate(30) plasticized by an extruder(10) is extruded, and simultaneously various colors are added into the welt plate. Then, one side surface of a pattern form(20) extruded by the other extruder(10') brings face to face with the top surface of the welt plate. The pattern form and the welt plate under the melting condition passes a compressing roll(50) and a forming roll(40), thereby the pattern form and the welt plate are thermally fused to form the welt having a pattern of various colors with a sewing line shape(80).
