APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETECTING PATH LOSS OF CODE DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS SYSTEM USING PILOT SIGNAL

PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting a path loss of a CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) system using a pilot signal is provided to perform a path loss test using CDMA base stations as transmitters, so as to easily analyze the path loss. CONSTITUTION: A transmission signal strength calculator(10) calculates a transmission strength of a pilot signal by using a digital gain allocated to the pilot signal from a signal of a CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) base station and a maximum base station signal. A signal ratio measuring unit(20) receives a CDMA signal through a wireless communication network, and measures a ratio between a receiving strength of the pilot signal and an entire receiving strength. A GPS(Global Positioning System)(30) receives location information of a corresponding region. A path loss information storage(40) corresponds the ratio with the location information. A path loss calculator(50) multiplies the ratio by an entire receiving signal strength to calculate the receiving strength of the pilot signal, and calculates a path loss of the corresponding region by a difference between the calculated receiving strength and the transmission strength.
