PURPOSE: A telephone for automatically transmitting a dial signal by only operation of a handset and a method for automatically transmitting the dial signal using the same are provided to easily perform telephone conversation by automatically connecting to a receiving place just as the handset is held. CONSTITUTION: A CPU(21) receives a key input signal to control a dialing, stores telephone numbers of specific receiving places in a memory(25), performs a control for performing an automatic dialing to the stored number when a handset or a speaker phone button is driven, and generates various display control data. A key input unit(20) has a plurality of numerical buttons for generating a dial signal, inputs dial data to the CPU(21) when generating the dial data, and has a display unit for displaying data by the control of the CPU(21). The memory(25) stores the telephone numbers of the specific receiving places, and accesses or stores a dial number by the control of the CPU(21). A hook switch(27) and the speaker phone button are operated when a user starts a telephone conversation and notify the start of the telephone conversation to the CPU(21).
