MULTI-DOMAIN LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE: A multi-domain liquid crystal display device is provided to achieve the stability of a texture and the multi-domain effect by forming an electric filed inducing window and a dielectric structure in a pixel electrode. CONSTITUTION: A multi-domain liquid crystal display device comprises the first and second substrates(31,33) which are opposite to each other. A liquid crystal layer is formed between the first and second substrates(31,33). A plurality of gate wirings(1) and data wirings are formed on the first substrate(31) to define a pixel area. A pixel electrode(13) is formed in the pixel area. At least one electric field inducing window(51) is provided to divide the pixel area. A common auxiliary electrode(15) is formed in the same layer as the gate wiring layer(1) and surrounds the pixel area. A common electrode(17) is formed in the second substrate(33). At least one dielectric structure(53) is provided to distort the electric field applied to the liquid crystal layer together with the electric field inducing window(51). An alignment layer is formed on at least one of the first and second substrates(31,33).
