PURPOSE: A recording control method of optical recording regeneration apparatus is provided to prevent deterioration of recording quality and to improve correctness of OPC result by recording data at a disk for recording detecting optimal laser recording power which reflected effect by component of rotation. CONSTITUTION: It is judged as to whether a previous recording power stored in a non-volatile memory is proper to be used as a present recording power according to maker code and recording speed to be read in the first stage(S2,S3,S4). The stored recording power is set up as a reference recording power if the judgment result of the first stage says proper, a default power is set up as a reference recording power if not proper in second stage(S5,S6). A B-level and a beta value is measured and corrected making a test recording at the disk using the reference recording power if motion of the second stage is completed in the third stage(S7,S8.S9). It is judged as to whether a calculated value exists in the power area executed recording test after calculating the optimal recording power and reference B-level if motion of the third stage is completed in the fourth stage(S10,S11). If it does not exist as result of the fourth stage, it is moved to a next OPC(optimum power control) test area and executes motion of the third stage repeatedly using the recording power calculated(S12,S13). The recording power calculated is stored in non-volatile memory and PCA counter area if exist as result of the fourth stage in the sixth stage(S14,S15).
