PURPOSE: A data recording method of optical recording regenerator is provided to execute a stable data recording by recording a data using a laser recording power to be set suitable for each data recording area form the result of OPC execution. CONSTITUTION: A data to record and a start address information to record the data is received from a host(401). An OPC(optimum power control) is executed at a data recording area corresponding to the start address to record the data received(402). A laser recording power is set up to be suitable to record the data at the data recording area corresponding to the start address from the result of OPC execution(403). A data received is recorded in the data recording area using the laser recording power which is set up(404).
