PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to supply an air-conditioning airflow having pleasant temperature and humidity to individuals and to make possible carrying along of the air conditioner. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner for individual use has at least one of thermoelectric modules(30) absorbing heat via an upper ceramic plate and emitting heat via a lower ceramic plate, a first heat exchange chamber(10) contacting to the upper face of the upper ceramic plate to discharge heat absorbed from the external air, and a second heat exchange chamber(20) contacting to the bottom of the lower ceramic plate to discharge the external air after heating. The first heat exchange chamber has an inlet port(11) opposite to an outlet port(12). In the first heat exchange chamber, a first crossflow fan(13) for forcible sucking of the external air and discharging and a first drive motor(16) for driving the first crossflow fan are installed. The second heat exchange chamber has an inlet port(21) opposite to an outlet port(22). In the second heat exchange chamber, a second crossflow fan(23) and a second drive motor(26) are installed. By converting an electrode connected to a power source of the thermoelectric module placed between the first and second heat exchange chambers, a heat absorption part and a heat emission part are changed. Therefore, cooling and heating are realized. |
