PURPOSE: An eccentric volume measuring apparatus and method of optical disk is provided to measure more correctly eccentric volume by measuring eccentric volume in the same state as real regeneration that tracking servo motion is ON. CONSTITUTION: An optical disk is rotated and driven in state of activation of a tracking servo in the first stage(S11). A center value of the tracking error signal which is output from the first stage is detected and set up as a basis value in the second stage(S12). An eccentric volume of the optical disk is measured by comparing the tracking error signal to be output after setting up the basis value with the basis value which is set up in the third stage(S13). The eccentric volume of the optical disk is measured by detecting degree of inclination in + and - direction from the basis value of the tracking error signal to be output just after setting up the basis value in the third stage.
